So it has been pointed out that I need to post more on here. I really have a ton going on. And I rarely post. Sorry, for not keeping you all up on the new.
New news? We're finally moving. We'll be moving into a house in Portola. Right now we're just outside the city... if you call it that. But we'll be moving right in town a few feet from the church. So guess where the new hang out will be before/after church. Geez, was this a good idea? But I'm very excited because I love all the Youth, and it will be quite easy.
Another excuse? My camera is somewhere on the bottom of my car. Under a seat I think. Hence no photos lately... sorry guys. I've been attached to my phone also. Since there isn't an app for blogger... I'm not posting here so much but more on Facebook, since there is an app for that. ;)

Look Young Women! It's DAVID ARCHULETA!!!
So last night I went to a concert, with 3,000 screaming teenage girls. Okay so I was only in charge of a dozen + a boy. It was a ton of fun. Almost my entire YW group was there. We missed one.
Okay so you all know I work in Reno. I figured I'd be the awesome mom and stand in line when I got off work. No big deal, I save a great spot for all those girls who promised to go to seminary, school and the same the following day. Since it was a school night. I met one of may amazing girls there. She and I met in the parking lot. We started walking towards the venue and I see the street's blocked off.
"Wow, look the parking lot is blocked so no one can get to the tour bus."
random stranger "That's the line."
confused look.
"People have been here since 4am."
"huh? don't they have school?"
"apparently some parent's don't care"
So we ran to tier three of the line. It was really cool. because it looped around a few times. But we sure had a great time talking with all the people around us. Most people were LDS so we talked about all sorts of easy to talk about subjects. It was even one ward's YW activity. One girl with the group behind us had a tshirt she made that said "i'm temple worthy". There were banners that said "I want to see the temple... with you." "I'm an Archuleta too." and other random things.
Soon we had our group there it was awesome. Thankfully the last two arrived just as they were letting us in the door. LITERALLY our group was inside the door's frame. I just looked over at my group the whole time being thankful that it looks so different from this side of the age bracket. Being 16 again with no worries about bills, kids, health, or otherwise. All they cared about was the fact that they were 10 feet away from David Archuleta. oh sorry DAVID ARCHULETA!!! I always mis-spell his name.
It was amazing how close we were for how far back we felt. I'd post pics but sadly my memory card is corrupted. So I'll have to hope I can steal some of the girls.
The girls had a fantastic time. And so did I. Eventhough we got home at midnight and had to get up extra early.
But the best part was texting them all in the morning "Wake up for seminary" and every single one was ready. That was a good feeling. Eventhough by lunch it was another story, but that's not my responsibility... jk it is. I was proud of each one, going to seminary. I really felt that they did respect the fact that I worked so hard to ensure each one had a ticket. I am so glad they honored themselves enough.
I'm so thankful that I have such a good group of young women in my ward. I am so blessed to be a part of their lives. I am so greatful to see them exercise their testimonies for an influence of good. I am greatful to hear them make the correct choices for themselves and be willing to commit to make more. I am greatful that they know that I love and care for each one just the same. I don't care what someone said about their shirt or their shoes, today, because I only care about what's inside each of them. I am greatful for the fact that my Heavenly Father saw it fit to bring me here to experiance the YW program. I don't think I would have understood what it meant at age 15, 16, 17... but I know what it means now. I am greatful for their strength. I am greatful for their knowledge. I am greatful for their continued commitment to make the world around them a better place with their examples.

7 Years!
Monday will be a happy day. On Monday March 23, 2009 Keith and I will celebrate 5 years of an eternal companionship, 6 years of marriage, 7 years of friendship and a lifetime left ahead. I look back and say "I've known him for 7 years".
I'm so grateful for the past 7 years, and what it has taught me. I was asked last weekend to share a truth. One truth I know without thinking is that my husband is an amazing man. He never looks ahead or behind for me, he stays beside me. I remember the moment he heard Prophet Hinckley say those words. Keith looked over at me and said he had never heard something he believed more without having to think about it. He just knew what the prophet said at that moment was more true than anything he could research for a lifetime.
I am grateful to my husband; for our beautiful children, our wonderful relationship, our love for the gospel, our continuing support of one another, our laughter, our tears, our strengths and weaknesses (carbs and sugars), his cooking skills, my event planning skills, our commitment to living in the now, our commitment to put ourselves first, our commitment to Heavenly Father, our constant reminders, and our forgiveness. Most of all I am grateful to know him.
I love you Keith. You make me who I am. I could not imagine life without you.

The First Five
... it was pointed out this post never made it on. OOPS! (crosses fingers)
The first five...
The first five...
The first people to leave a comment on this blog will receive something made by me.
However there are some limitations
1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year. (might take a while)
4. You have not clue what it is going to be, poetry, shoes, bags or a little invention of my own. I may bake something and mail it you . Who knows? Not you that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. It may blow your mind!
Here is the catch, if you choose to do this. You must post this on your blog and be ready to make something for five people too. This will be fun! When you receive the fabulous item I make you, you must post a picture of it on your blog.
