Hair-CUT!

okay so yes Brenden's hair was a little hard to keep under control. All those curls and waves are hard to get thru. And Kaleigh would not let us put anything in her hair. When we fought her to she would just accept for a moment then without warning she would run off and rip it all out. Letting her hair fall in her face. So Janna (Grossnickle) gave a simple solution.

Memorial Day Hooray

For Memorial Day we ventured over to the Tri-Cities to visit our friends the Grossnickles. We decided to go to the park and have a picnic. We were happy to have the Smiths, the Meridiths, and the Hayes join us (minus Jeremy). It was so fun to have almost all of us together. The kids were so happy to see a beautiful boat dock right at the park! We all ran over to watch it dock. Here's the group.

And the kids holding hands; Emily Meredith, Dakotah & Savannah Hayes, Bren and Anna Grossnickle. The kids had a wonderful time and so did Keith and I. Keith loved pushing the kids on the swings espially when Leah kept calling him over saying "Keeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiith, come push me." I'm going to take a little pin to his head to bring him back to earth. But I may take one to my own... because I had the greatest time with the girls rolling down the "hill" playing duck duck goose, and what we thought was freeze tag, where no one froze. We sure are sad that we are no longer moving there.

Birthday Fun.

All Kaleigh wanted to do for her birthday was to go on the carrousel downtown. It was awesome. Especially since Brenden was scared to death. Don't know why... He loves roller coasters. Just terrified of the carrousel.

Later we came back for cake... where Brenden boycotted celebrating anything. He ran off into the livingroom and played Wii. Which finally gave Kaleigh a shot to blow out her own candels. I love this cake, and yes it is as good as it looks.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy Birthday Kaleigh. You are amazing.
I can't even begin to believe that you are 2.

Poor Kaleigh has been super sick for the past week. Every night this week she's woken up at one point or another unable to sleep. She paces in her room or just sits up in her bed wimpering. Yea, it's been super sad. Well, Thursday night, I got up with her and we watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. She absloutly loved every minute. At the beginning she even sang along to Moon River. It was too cute. Well, she slept thru the night and in on Saturday night. So daddy stayed home to make sure she finally caught up on rest. All day she was groggy all day and fell fast asleep during dinner. Needless to say during our last 15 minutes of awake time we heard little footsteps and a door swing open. There she was hyper and finally feeling better, only thing is it was midnight. I truly think she set her alarm for her birthday. Since she hadn't touched a crumb of her dinner we knew she needed something, and being so late, no longer Sunday...

She got her favorite dinner...

and showered us with kisses. Until Daddy Stole Her Drink!!!

But it's okay she's having a wonderful Birthday.

Happy birthday at Midnight.

First Tournament

Okay so I just bowled my first tournament with y friend Heather. We did pretty well, stuck to our averages... For Heather that means 200s for me that means 120s... lol... even with a 184 and a 168 I still had low games to make it just about that... we still have another week to see how we did.

Look how hardcore of a bowler I am.

See that's me.. on the infamous end... my least favorite lanes... I'm always scared
that my ball is going to slip off my hand hit the wall, bounce back and hit me right in the face.

This is my absloute favorite picture of the day. We went over to the inlaws and the kids had fun playing outside in the sprinklers... only thing is, they both weren't in the mood to get wet. Kaleigh was fine getting naked...

Brenden however, did change into boardshorts, but demanded his shirt, socks and shoes be put back on...

He did eventually get out and run in the sun fully dressed.
